To all members of the choir and beyond. Just to let you know the current state of play regarding the massed choir concert scheduled for Albert Hall 2012. This concert has now been cancelled at that venue. Currently the committee are looking into other possibilities that I shall keep you informed about.
I enclose the following missive received from our esteemed Music Director, Jeff, for your information.
Have spoken to Ann Davies regarding joint practices at Bethesda Rd and she would prefer if we started them in September. They are performing at the Botanical Gardens at the end of August and need to work on the pieces they are singing there. I also spoke about the concert itself. They will start the first half with about three songs, then we'll have some local talent, with us performing three songs in Welsh or English to end the first half. The second half will be Atgof o'r Ser with a baritone by the name of Gwynedd Parry from Carmarthen as the soloist. He's a past winner of the Riban Glas for Under 25's at the National so he'll be good! So, the first joint practice will be on Monday Sep 6th at Bethesda Rd.

Don’t forget the pig roast summer draw tickets will need to be in by the 26th August 2010 so we know where we are.
